BJN seeks crowdfunding

April 20, 2015

Blue Jean Nation today started an online crowdfunding campaign to “turn a great idea – and the volunteer power behind it – into a blossoming organization.”

Crowdfunding started as a way to get small amounts of capital from a large number of individuals to finance new business ventures. Today musicians, filmmakers, artists and social entrepreneurs are successfully raising funds and fostering awareness of their work through crowdfunding, typically via the Internet.

“How fast Blue Jean Nation is able to scale up comes down to how many people are willing to buy in,” Mike McCabe, the group’s founder and president, said.

The campaign will last 30 days, with a goal of raising $15,675.
